I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, past or present trauma, shame, and LGBTQIA+ related issues. Life can bring many challenges where you may feel overwhelmed. It may be a specific life event, relationship problems or work related stress; or an ongoing anxiety, depression or low mood that concerns you. Perhaps you have questions of identity? Or perhaps feel your life is lacking purpose? Life can be difficult to navigate and this is where counselling can support you.
Central to my approach is understanding the quality of your relationship to yourself and others. Most importantly, we are looking for you to develop an internally allied sense of self. To foster change, I draw on multiple approaches to psychotherapy treatment including Transactional Analysis, Carl Jung’s shadow theory, CBT and attachment theory.
Offering an approachable and non-judgemental space, we will work at your pace to better understand your experiences, paying attention to areas keeping you stuck or behaviours holding you back. Together we shall develop new and refreshed perspectives, providing you with the tools required to lead a more fulfilling life.
