Life can be challenging. It may feel like something is holding you back or perhaps you can’t feel yourself really living. You may have developed coping mechanisms that are negatively impacting your life. Parts of you may feel lost, disconnected or numb whilst you function through your daily life. Talking can be hard to do, even with those around you. I work with adults and young people in a trauma-informed way that is safe, gentle and compassionate. I help with self-esteem, panic attacks, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, relationship issues, trauma, sexual abuse, PTSD/CPTSD, OCD and alignment and exploration of who you really are.
I work in a relational way alongside clients using symbol/metaphor to gently identify experiences that words are difficult to define, using a dual processing technique. This includes talking in addition to the client’s choice of working with postcards, objects, marks/words on paper, dreams or perhaps a song that resonates with you. You may just want to talk!
I accommodate how you want to communicate as a person, and the process is about empowering you in your life. Together we can work to understand and navigate through your individual experiences in a way that is safe, supportive and non-judgemental, to ensure that you are heard. We can develop new ways for you to manage through life and build self-efficacy.
