I integrate key therapeutic principles drawing on a wide range of psychodynamic, cognitive behavior and dialectical behavior modalities, in which I invite you to sit down with me in a relaxed, safe, informal way, and talk. But if you’re depressed, anxious and feeling bad about yourself, you can be profoundly helped by an in-depth conversation in which you come to create greater self-understanding, discover insights and meanings, recognize patterns, and explore options and skills.
Sharing about your current challenges and stress is a first step toward making it manageable. If your emotions are confusing, talking about them can bring clarity. I listen carefully, making no judgments, offering no easy answers. I will help you tell me in detail what’s troubling you and we will work together to create greater understanding.
I will help you strengthen your sense of self and clarify your connections with others – supporting you to think more clearly and compassionately about yourself. If you have suffered from the debilitating impacts and effects of trauma and have experienced deep loss, you will need someone to take time to talk with you and walk with you through your grief.
