I have a warm and compassionate approach in treating my clients and believe that client-therapist alliance based on trust is an integral part of therapy. I provide a safe non-judgmental space to help my clients explore their thoughts and feelings. I recognize vulnerability and focus on overcoming mental health challenges through a collaborative process using an empathetic approach. I am registered with College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Certified Coach Practitioner with more than 8 years in coaching individuals, couples and groups.I hold three Masters Degrees with most recent one in Counselling Psychology.
I primarily use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) & Psychoanalytic approach to change maladaptive thoughts & explore the effects of past or childhood incidents on our present thoughts, emotions & behaviours. I also use therapies such as Gestalt, humanistic, solution focused, strength based and emotional focused based on needs and best interest of clients.
I provide culturally sensitive therapy in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. My focus is on integrating different therapeutic techniques to deepen my client's intuitive abilities leading towards a creative blueprint to live a balanced and purposeful life.
