My name is Sarah and I am a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists and a Canadian Certified Counsellor registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I have an immense passion for working with children and adolescents and I am committed to being a strong ally and advocate for their mental health and wellbeing. I believe in a holistic approach to supporting young people so that they can be happy and healthy as well as thrive in all aspects of their life.
I have experience navigating the complex mental health needs of children and adolescents with ASD, ADHD, LD, ODD, CD, OCD, anxiety and related phobias, school refusal, depression, suicide ideation/thoughts, trauma, grief, transitional life changes and more.
I strongly believe that each individual has the capacity to find their way through difficult experiences and emotions by learning more about themselves. Through this personal growth comes the capacity for healing, and through healing we can find new meaning and purpose in life.
