Hello, my name is Catherine (she/her), I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate). I base my work on a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, person-centred framework and strive to create an atmosphere of safety. I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan, including children as young as 5, and welcome anyone in need of a caring, safe, and supportive space to share their story.
Much of my therapeutic work is grounded in the lens of attachment theory, I believe that helping clients to feel safe and connected is the foundation for healing. Because each person is unique I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities that fit the individual's needs and help them develop skills, improve emotion regulation, and build self-compassion.
Reaching out for help and opening up takes a lot of courage. At the end of the day, I hope my clients have a better understanding of all the amazing resources they possess and leave my office feeling safe, seen, cared for and ready to further grow in their journey of curiosity.
