Being a human being is complicated, and often difficult, and we all need understanding and support from other people. I work as a counsellor because I want to provide that support and understanding, and I want to help people find and reclaim power in their lives, even in the face things they cannot change. I work as a team with my clients to build on their skills and strengths, figure out what coping strategies might not be working for them anymore, and find new ways of coping and being in the world. I work with all kinds of clients, and I am particularly interested in supporting neurodiverse, disabled, and chronically ill clients.
Counselling can help to reduce symptoms, manage problems, improve relationships, find meaning, and more. I work with you to build an approach that’s tailored to fit your unique needs, using a combination of Existential, Attachment, Interpersonal and Social Justice oriented approaches. I offer culturally-sensitive, and LGBTQ+ positive services.
If you like the sound of my approach, you can contact me to set up a free 20 minute consultation to see if I am the counsellor for you. If I am not a good fit we can use the appointment to help you to find the counsellor that is. It can take a lot of courage and energy to reach out for help, and I want to make sure you find the support your looking for.
