For persons struggling with interpersonal , self esteem issues of belonging and becoming my approach is to have a full session and see if we are the right fit for each other. Will collaborate to have a structured program of recovery, review results , refine and further customize the approach. I have certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma and offer a structured 10 session program to deal with trauma related issues. I have specialized certification training in Integrative Sex and Couples Therapy to address intimacy, companionship, erotic aspects of marriage, and recovery from infidelity.
I have practiced & taught specialist medicine in universities in India, Libya and Canada since 1990.. Having stayed on the ground in a civil war (Libya 2011) I have experienced the truth that all the wounds of war are not seen. I am an Immigrant from India, have stayed in Arab world, and helped nurture and navigate my family through the Canadian system.
My approach is to collaborate with the client, align with their problems in the here and now, uncover how they work ( factors & forces)- what is working, what is not working and come up with a plan to self-monitor, self assess and evaluate to live a healthier productive life. 12 step recovery and Eastern Mindfulness practices are integrated in my practice.
