Yoga for mental health
I am a certified yoga therapist and have taught yoga to improve mental health in India, Malta and at Mississauga YMCA in Canada. I combine my knowledge in yoga with Western therapies like Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Mindfulness theory, narrative therapy and Daniel Goleman's theory on emotional intelligence. With my unique approach, I help my clients to enhance their awareness, help them build their emotional intelligence to change their dysfunctional thoughts and behaviours. The meaning of word "Yoga" is union or wholeness, I help my clients to claim their wholesomeness, lost due to trauma, grief and other problems.

Divorce and South Asian Women
I aim to guide a self-help group to help women going through the stress of divorce and separation. Due to my cultural background, I am well versed with problems faced by South Asian and particularly women originating from India. I hope to create a robust self-help group to help the women with joint camaraderie and sisterhood.
