I offer an environment where change can be explored in creative and practical ways. Mindful conversation and reflection, compassion for self and the practice of both cognitive and somatic strategies are incorporated into each session. I believe that therapy is a co-created experience. It is important to me that people find new resources and enhance the ones that are already available to them. My approach is influenced by somatic psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, developmental, relational and psychodynamic schools of psychology.
Embodiment, the idea that the body participates in thinking, feeling and behavioural patterns is at the core of my approach. A session may include relaxation and breathing techniques, developing somatic resources and awareness of gesture, posture, movement, and body felt sense. Please contact me with your questions.
