We all experience difficult encounters that leave us questioning our world view or even ourselves. Finding the right support is a difficult task and can oftentimes be a daunting experience. I aim to create safe emotional spaces to help, explore, cope with, or overcome difficulties towards acceptance, serenity, inner peace, empowerment, and healthier relationships. I believe that difficult experiences can either break us down or build us up. I have a Master of Arts Degree in Addictions Counselling and my methods include narrative therapy, CBT, CPT and DBT.
My process for each session involves supporting people to be able to express and understand feelings,develop new ways of thinking or behaving and skill development for stress management and behavioral change.I help clients feel validated and supported during their difficult times with active listening and goal-oriented therapy focused on experiential change.
As a wife and a mother I know how important support can be for well being. Over the last few years I have supported diverse clients to overcome trauma, addictive behaviors and foster functional and meaningful living.
