Welcome! My name is Marelle and I am a registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from York University, a Bachelor of Social Work degree from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Sociology degree from Laurentian University. I have extensive experience and training supporting people of all ages who have experienced trauma, attachment disruptions, mental health struggles, family/spousal conflict or struggles, high-conflict situations, developmental delays, grief and loss, child welfare involvement (protection, kinship, and adoption), as well as victims of abuse, crime and tragedy.
As a therapist, my foundation of support comes from a trauma-informed and attachment lens and my core values are situated in anti-oppressive, inclusive and equitable values. Through both my foundation for practice and my core values, I am able to rely on a variety of evidence-based theories and frameworks to support you through the therapeutic process.
I offer support to individuals, families, and couples. I believe our healing is a journey and that therapy is the bridge to assist us from getting where we currently are to our place of healing and growth.
