Children are constantly evolving and growing and during their journey they sometimes need some support to encourage and help them to thrive in their relationships and connections with others; or to develop strategies to support emotional regulation, social skills, life skills, anxiety reduction, concentration and focus, or processing of traumatic events. During this time parents are also growing and evolving. Parenting can be both the most challenging and rewarding experience we have but sometimes during those challenging times we need some support.
I understand that we are all unique and so too are our psychotherapy needs. I have adopted an integrative, evidence-based approach practicing from a client and family centered lens that uses both trauma and attachment informed care. I am trained in a multitude of modalities that include: DBT, CBT, emotion regulation, narrative therapy and solution focussed.
I find it most rewarding to be able to provide support during the more challenging times. Understanding your child’s behavior changes our response to them. When we understand why it is happening we can respond in a manner that promotes their social emotional development and fosters connection.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Group
This 4-week emotion regulation group will help you to increase self-awareness by learning to identify and label emotions; to manage anxiety and stress more effectively; to better understand how emotions, thoughts, and behaviours are connected and to learn how to problem solve effectively so you can respond and manage the emotions. By incorporating horses they can provide more meaningful mental health gains than traditional talk therapy alone.
