I operate from a foundation of cognitive behavioural therapy while approaching therapy from a trauma-informed and strength-based lens. However, I consider myself an integrative therapist that pulls from various therapeutic modalities (such as acceptance commitment therapy; ACT, dialectical behavioural therapy; DBT, person-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy and solution focused behavioural therapy; SFBT) depending on what may be beneficial to the client at the time.
I practice psychotherapy under the belief that humans are capable of change. I believe every individual is the masters of their journey and so I walk with you as a guide while encouraging you to embrace yourself through developing of self-awareness (paying attention to your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, physical reactions and how they affect each other.
I am warm, non-judgmental and compassionate, helping each client feel at ease from the moment we first meet. I will create action-oriented steps to help each individual achieve their focused goals.
