From the beginning, we are given a specific set of skills. Our environment and biology continue to shape us as we are faced with unique challenges. Throughout our development we learn that living in this world is no easy task. The skills that we have or acquired aren’t working the way we had hoped. It is in this moment that we can feel lost and alone. My hope is to create a space for everyone to explore these experiences and acquire new skills to help them face life’s challenges. It is through this that we build resilience and are able to reach our goals.
Throughout the years in my practice, I continue to pursue specialized training to develop my expertise in supporting individuals and building resilience. This allows me to have a wide variety of skills to specialize the treatment and meet the needs of the client. My approach to counselling is influenced by this training, which includes Dialectical Behavioral
