I believe successful therapy happens when there is a strong, collaborative relationship between therapist and client where the client can have new experiences, gain new tools, and try on new perspectives. I will create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore and understand the various influences that shaped you including your experiences, your emotions, your culture, your family, and your communities.
I provide somatic interventions to orient you to what is happening in your body so you can use its signals as a resource and I offer mindfulness skills so you can start responding instead of reacting. I also use parts work and cognitive interventions to increase your flexibility in thinking, understand yourself more fully, and reduce feelings of being stuck.
