I have joined a volunteer-driven resource. The Grief Corps is a Canadian initiative that free to any resident of Canada who has lost someone to COVID-19. All groups are run by volunteer mental health professionals experienced running support groups. These groups are not providing therapy. A forum with the opportunity to share your experiences and receive support from people who have similar experiences. Group members can bring issues of the day to the group, share ideas for self care, explore effective use of self all in a group format with other therapists. Plus topic exploration will be encouraged. Two experienced therapists will guide you through a 90 minute exploratory support group. This is not supervision, this is self care and self development.
