When we are experiencing a stressful life event, a challenging medical diagnosis or chronic condition, or just facing a difficult period of our life, it is not uncommon that we may feel overwhelmed with new changes, unsettled thoughts and emotions, and need someone to talk to. Both individuals and caregivers may feel stressed and uncertain about the future. As we encounter life's difficulties, we all may need help coping at some point in our life. I am committed to helping my clients ease their distress, and find a healthy sense of well-being and more helpful and bonding connections in their relationships.
As a counselling therapist and former registered nurse, I have experience in providing a safe and confidential counselling space in which we can work together, and I can listen and help with what is most troubling to you. I have been with many people living with health issues and are learning how to adjust and cope.
My approach is a holistic one and considers all aspects of you as a whole person. I embrace the values of diversity - culture, ethnicity, gender, religion, and sexual orientation - all which contribute to you as a unique person. My integrative approach draws upon elements from various counselling methods. I offer Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.
