My interests are in working with individuals or families from diverse backgrounds, dealing with a large range of issues, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, life transitions, grief, self-esteem, identity formation, sexuality, acute and developmental trauma, vicarious trauma, and PTSD. I also have experience working in First Nations communities and have a heart for working with Indigenous peoples.
I work from a holistic and strength-based approach, taking in the whole being of a person. My work is trauma-informed, relationally-centered, and experiential in nature. I use an integrative framework consisting of a variety of interventions and tools so that I can adapt to the unique needs of each client. I'm trained in Observed and Experiental Integration.
I believe that we were not designed to walk through life alone. Often, we can feel the most alone when we face difficult or painful experiences; this is a vulnerable place to be. When we feel vulnerable it can be even more difficult to reach out and ask for help. Healing can come when we are given a safe space to be truly seen, heard, and validated.
