My name is Jemimah Cosme and I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. I specialize in providing therapy to young people with mental health problems. I am located in the heart of Erskineville. Over the last ten years, I have supported countless families and young adults with their mental health. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family-Based Therapy for Eating Disorders, Structural Family Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
I work from an attachment framework, meaning that I strongly believe that a young person’s mental health is rooted in their relationships to their family of origin, primarily their parents. As such I believe each case to consist of two clients – the young person & the young person’s parents. I focus on the young person and often include the parents.
