Ira Hyman, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology at Western Washington University. He has published research on memory for song lyrics, the creation of false childhood memories, collaborative remembering, memory for traumatic events, and inattentional blindness for unicycling clowns. He is the co-editor, with Ulric Neisser, of Memory Observed: Remembering in Natural Contexts. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his Ph.D. from Emory University.
