The decision to start therapy is a brave and equally vulnerable one. Perhaps you have had losses of different kinds, started feeling different from your usual self, or experience an urge to know and understand yourself better. Therapy is a space that can be helpful in navigating these experiences, learning new ways of being, and overcoming life hurdles. Together with what the client aims to achieve, the goal of therapy is to fundamentally work on how the individual relates to themselves and the world around them. In therapy we also facilitate the pursuit of the client’s desired quality of life.
I am a Clinical Psychologist practicing in Greenside, Johannesburg. I offer psychodynamic / psychoanalytic psychotherapy to adults and adolescents, although integrate other approaches best suitable to the clients' needs, such as DBT and attachment approaches.
In therapy, I aim to create, together with the client, a space that is safe, non-judgemental and holding. The therapy aims to facilitate the journey of accessing, knowing and exploring deepest and usually vulnerable parts of the individual’s self. I believe in working collaboratively with the client to facilitate psychological wellbeing and development.
