I work with people of all ages. People differ from each other and their experience of trauma and difficulty also differ. Our joys and suffering are as unique as our fingerprints. "Talk therapy" is a very important part of therapy, but sometimes something broader is needed. For this reason, practical methods involving the whole body are used. Here are two comments from two of my clients: "Rina goes beyond the call of duty. She creates a safe and comfortable environment Her methods are so subtle I don't even feel like I'm in a therapy session, but the results from the sessions are astounding. "
I myself have been suffering from Complex PTSD for many years now. It has taught me humility, compassion, and non-judgment. It has also taught me practical methods to help with healing. Examples are: working with thoughts and feelings to find where and how they are registered in the body and then working with body posture to achieve balance in mind and body.
Another comment from a client: "Therapy can be confusing, even overwhelming. Rina has a tangible kindness and sincerity that shines. She has helped me, through gentleness and guided truthfulness to question my reality and foster a new reality that includes appreciating my self-worth. Rina offers a unique approach, different from conventional therapy.

Groups
Dealing with trauma, depression and anxiety
We, as a small group, have been working together for some time now. Loneliness is one of the great challenges to heal from depression and anxiety. One of the first steps towards healing is sharing. Through sharing, we create a safe place where we can learn from and support each other. More on the practical side; we also learn to master techniques for everyday challenges. Join our meetings weekly on Saturday mornings. No need to prepare; come just as you are. Search for meetup.com/mental-health-squad/ to learn more about our group.
