I work with clients who are ordinary, successful professionals, feeling overwhelmed and disillusioned by traumatic events, unexpected changes, anxiety, and grief that prevents them from moving forward. Some might be standing on the edge, searching for hope and clarity, while others may be moving forward bravely, but in need of understanding. Both deserve to have their story heard in a nonjudgemental, authentic, confidential setting. They want tools and mechanisms that will aid them in dealing with their various situations.
As a wellness counselor, I aim to equip clients with coping skills to guide them through any harrowing life events. Through active listening and mutual respect, the client and I will design an action plan to map out the actions required to piece together a positive outlook for the future.
