In my practice I work with individuals, families and groups who present with various struggles/ difficulties. These include Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment difficulties, Relationship struggles (marriage and other non-intimate relationships), Parents presenting with parenting difficulties, Personality Disorders and group organizations who need training sessions. Therefore my goal in the practice is to create a safe space where I work together with my clients to face their emotional/ psychological difficulties and feel contained as well as emotionally regulated.
My approach to therapy uses the Systems School of thought within psychology. This allows me to treat/ intervene in my clients cases in a manner that is holistic. My clients are further referred onto other health practitioners which I work with as a multidisciplinary team e.g. Psychiatrist, GP, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker.
As a therapist I understand that approaching therapy especially as a new client can come with anxiety and uncertainty. I try them in my practice to be as congruent as I can with my clients by addressing concerns that my clients may have and of course discussing the anxieties they may have about the process of therapy.
