My ideal client is motivated and honest and prepare to face their issues. A client needs to be committed to the process of change to reach their goals. Their issues include amongst others, dealing with trauma, loss, meaning in life questions, depression, anxiety, fear of the future, lifespan developmental challenges, and relationships. Their goals would be to clarify their issues and identify potential causes, both by gaining insight in their internal worlds as well as their interpersonal behavior. I work predominantly with children, adolescents and families and I prefer to work holistically as therapy occurs once a week but the person needs to continue living his or her life outside the therapy room also.
