I see clients who are looking to heal through a holistic approach to mental wellness. The clients that I see are choosing to heal themselves and recreate themselves after divorce/breakups, co-dependency or abusive relationships. Some of my clients are doing the re-parenting in wellness program and finding direction and meaning again. They are building their self esteem as well as gaining deeper insight into who they are, why they have the patterns they have and how to replace them with healthier ones. Together we focus on breaking toxic cycles and rewriting your narrative.

Most people just want to be happy. While that can certainly be achieved through counselling, I believe happiness is an emotion, like others, that comes and goes. Instead I work with you to create more peace, joy and fulfilment in your life. These are deeper long-lasting goals that are the foundation of life satisfaction. Over and above the specific concern you wish to work on, I aim to help you connect with who you really are as a person and facilitate the path to who you would like to be.

My ideal client is anybody who has suffered with a mental health issue such as, depression, anxiety, eating disorder, trauma, difficulties with a relationship or a desire to truly self actualize. This client is truly fed up and ready to heal or doesn't want to waste time just growing in awareness, but truly wants to see shifts in patterns of behavior and thinking.

"We can choose to throw stones, to stumble on them, to climb over them, or to build with them." Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed by the stones in your path? Don't worry, you are not alone and you don't have to do this alone. I believe in a strengths-based counselling approach, emphasizing the resources that my clients possess and how these can be applied to a positive change process. As a Registered Counsellor, my focus is on providing supportive counselling services, the promotion of mental health and wellbeing, psychological screening and assessment, as well as psychoeducation.

I am a coach working in the area of self-awareness. my ideal client wishes to develop deep self-awareness and is unafraid to understand their own subconscious and unconscious saboteurs. As a coach, I take an outcome-oriented and practical approach to moving forward. it is not therapy but is transformational in allowing clients to access their own inner wisdom ad take steps towards change

Overwhelmed and struggling to cope with worries and fear. Feeling incapacitated by anxiety and panic attacks. In desperate need of some relief and a means of coping. Struggling to face life, feeling hopeless, lifeless, lost, sad and worthless. Wanting some meaning to life, to find hope, personal value. Lashing out at those you love. Fatigued. Grieving and needing some help to carry on. Confused about your own feelings and thoughts. Stressed. Directionless, unhappy at work. Professional help is available.

I view every individual I encounter as unique. I therefore alter my psychotherapeutic approach to fit best with the client in front of me. I work mostly from a person-centred approach, including elements of cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, and narrative psychotherapy. If I think it would be most beneficial to you, I may follow a pure psychodynamic approach during which I act mainly as a reflecting mirror. Often this approach requires a longer-term commitment to therapy to reap the full benefits. A psychodynamic approach may however also be used successfully short-term.

My philosophy is that all of us have the necessary abilities to overcome any challenges in life with the right support. I offer an integrative approach to counselling that draws on Gestalt, existential and cognitive theories. I view counselling as a creative process of discovering the masterpiece in each client. I work within an interpersonal framework that places the relationship between the client and the therapist at the heart of the process.
