A client once asked me: “Don’t you get tired of listening to people’s problems for so many years?” I intuitively responded”: “How can I get tired of listening to their solutions?” I have for most of my life been training and supervising counsellors at two different universities. At the same time always running a private practice part time to ensure I learn from my clients: How they tell their problem saturated stories; and then how we together discover the alternative stories from which they then build their solutions and a preferred life story.
I specialise in listening to my clients’ stories and together with them discover solutions. This covers the wide range of psychological problems. If their needs are not within my experience range, I say so and refer them to the right professional.
I’m now no longer training counsellors. Slowed the pace of my life but keep on seeing clients together discovering and creating solutions for their life challenges. Supervising counsellors also continues. Moved from Gauteng to Howick close to where I grew up. After an initial free 15 minute meet and greet call to you, you decide if you want to appoint me.
