Theodore Dalrymple was born in London in 1949. He was qualified as a doctor in 1974 and travelled the world. He studied psychiatry and was a consultant in a general hospital and a prison for 15 years. He has written for publications in the U.S., England, Australia, Belgium, France, Sweden, Holland, Spain, and Brazil. His latest book is Admirable Evasions (Encounter) and he has written more than 20 others.
