Nadja Halilbegovich is an award-winning author and child survivor of the Bosnian War and the siege of her hometown, Sarajevo. She is a public speaker and advocate for peace and children of war. Her book, My Childhood Under Fire: A Sarajevo Diary, was published in 2006. Her essays have been featured in The Atlantic, Time, the Boston Globe, the Globe and Mail, and Newsweek, among others.
