Matt Albert, Ed.D., is the director at the Teshinsky Family Foundation, focusing on workforce development and alternate post-secondary pathways. He is the former executive director at the Center for Reflective Communities, a non-profit that provides training to parents and mental health professionals aimed at enhancing relationships between children and caregivers. Prior to CRC, he founded and ran New Los Angeles Charter Schools, public charter schools serving 600 students in grades K-8. Dr. Albert started his career as a high school teacher and administrator at a Los Angeles independent school. He holds a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of California, Los Angeles, an MA in political science from Columbia University, and a BA from the University of California, San Diego. He lives in Los Angeles and has two school-age children.
