John Randolph Ph.D., ABPP
John Randolph, Ph.D., ABPP, is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and board-certified coach specializing in brain health consulting and promotion. Dr. Randolph has written and edited multiple books, including the recently released The Brain Health Book: Using the Power of Neuroscience to Improve Your Life (W.W. Norton) and Positive Neuropsychology: Evidence-Based Perspectives on Promoting Cognitive Health (Springer).
He has been on the adjunct faculty at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth for many years, and he continues to conduct clinical research related to brain health and cognitive resilience. He maintains an active clinical practice focused on assessment and management of neuropsychological challenges across the lifespan, and an innovative consulting practice focused on brain health promotion. He is an award-winning speaker who has lectured to thousands of people on brain health and related topics, including multiple keynote addresses at regional and national conferences. He also regularly teaches a community course on brain health through Osher@Dartmouth.
He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology (neuropsychology specialization) from Washington State University, and completed clinical and research fellowships in neuropsychology and neuroimaging at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Beyond his work related to brain health, he has published and presented extensively on the brain’s executive functions, structural and functional neuroimaging, effects of mood on the brain and cognition, and leadership-neuroscience connections. He is a fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and Past President of the New Hampshire Psychological Association.
He keeps his own brain engaged through playing racquetball and tennis, snowboarding, noodling on his guitar, and enjoying time with family and friends.
