Instead of typical chronic illness management, The PHRP introduces a new and unique treatment model that attempts to break the cycle of chronicity by addressing the underlying causes of these disorders. As these underlying vulnerabilities are addressed, many individuals find transformative healing, renewed hope, and resilience to stress, and are no longer impaired by mental disorders. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has a high, research-proven success rate for adolescents with depression, anxiety, high emotional sensitivity, self-harming behaviors, and/or suicidal ideation. At Evolve Vanalden, we don’t just learn DBT—we live it. Our Comprehensive DBT treatment program is suited for teens ages 12-17 who struggle with these and other mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Evolve is one of the only treatment centers in the country that offers a Comprehensive DBT residential program for teens. We incorporate all four Comprehensive DBT requirements: individual & family therapy, 24/7 in-the-moment skills coaching, skills training groups, and a weekly consultation team. Teens learn the four core skills of DBT: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Distress Tolerance and benefit from weekly psychiatric supervision, daily academic support, and daily experiential therapies including equine, surf, drama, music, art, yoga and more. Families On The Line is an outpatient, DBT-adherent practice. Our extensively trained clinicians are dedicated to providing a range of evidence-based treatments to address emotional, behavioral, relational, and lifestyle concerns. Particular areas of expertise include the treatment of severe emotional dysregulation or borderline personality disorder (BPD) and its associated co-morbidities. We know and fully understand how painful this struggle is for patients as well as most often for their families, and we are passionate about helping relieve this suffering.

Affordable fee psychotherapy and psychoanalysis offered in various location throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Treatment is held in the private offices of the psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and other mental health professionals who are in advanced training at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Education (IPE), affiliated with NYU School of Medicine. The $50 Application fee entitles you to up to three in-person consultations with a therapist who will then make a treatment recommendation and either facilitate a referral to an experienced training candidate or recommend that you continue in treatment with the consulting therapist.
