Full Continuum of Care
We provide a full continuum of care at locations around the country, including residential treatment centers; a full suite of outpatient programming, with Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and outpatient services with a flexible number of days per week; telehealth; and alumni programming. All of our programs have received accreditation from the Joint Commission for Behavioral Healthcare, the nation’s most respected healthcare accreditation body. Our continuing care program provides ongoing support through virtual sessions, and our robust Alumni department keeps former clients connected through online and in-person events and support groups. Whether an adolescent needs a higher level of care, is stepping down from residential care and needs continued structure and community in our Partial Hospitalization Program, or needs several days per week of after-school support through our outpatient services option, our range of programming meets each young person and family where they are. Our Therapies
Newport Institute’s clinical model includes individual therapy, group therapy to support honest and authentic connections with peers, and family therapy to heal ruptures in the family system. Benefits of individual therapy, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR, include the development of self-awareness and communication skills. In addition, clients’ weekly schedules include sessions with our talented Adventure Therapists, creative arts therapists, Equine-Assisted Therapists, and other experiential therapists; and yoga and meditation to enhance self-compassion and mindfulness. In Newport Institute’s Life Skills Program, young adults learn practical skills for building independence and interpersonal relationships, and practice “brain-hygiene” exercises that support self-regulation and enhanced executive functioning. The Life Skills Program is designed to provide the tools needed for a resilient, thriving life, in which young people are both self-sufficient and connected to a larger community. Our mission is to help young adults move into the next phase of life with a sense of purpose and hope. Campus Safety
To ensure the safety and health of our clients, families, and employees throughout the pandemic, Newport has assembled a nationwide COVID-19 task force made up of Newport leadership across the country. This task force continually assesses CDC guidelines, updates COVID response protocols, and ensures that they are implemented at each location, revising our response protocol as needed. Safeguarding our clients’ health and wellness throughout their time in treatment is our highest priority. We carry out this commitment by maintaining industry-leading staff-to-client ratios, safe and secure campuses, and supervised, structured programming. Our consistently high parent and referent satisfaction scores show that families and referring providers feel confident placing their children or clients in our care.
