In the pediatric inpatient program, we provide separate units for children and teens, including a specialized inpatient pediatric unit (SIPU) for those who have an autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disability diagnosis. The average length of stay in the inpatient program is seven to 10 days, although patients in the SIPU may require a longer length of stay, typically 14-28 days.
