Founded in 2015, Sanford Behavioral Health is licensed and accredited as a substance use disorder, eating disorder, and co-occurring mental health treatment facility, serving Greater Grand Rapids, all of Michigan and beyond. Our Addiction Treatment Program incorporates a full continuum of care for adults 18 years+. Sanford has a psychiatrist-led team of medical, clinical, and support personnel providing medication-assisted, evidenced-based treatment to residential, outpatient, and telehealth patients. We also have outpatient therapy in-person and via telehealth. Residents live onsite while they attend group, individual, and family therapy sessions, receive medical and psychiatric check-ups and participate in wellness activities. This option provides 24/7 access to the support of our medical team. Our clinicians offer specialized care and follow a program accentuating each person’s inherent values and strengths. Home of New Vision provides outpatient therapeutic approaches to individuals addressing mental health and substance use disorders in a warm, welcoming environment that puts the needs of the client first. Our Rapid 4-Day Opiate Detox Procedure is for patients addicted or dependent on heroin, pills, Suboxone, Methadone, and Fentanyl and Kratom. Day 1- patient completes intake paperwork, lab work, physical & psychological exam. We include a private room, private bathroom, flat-screen TV, WIFI and all meals are included. Day 2- patient is taken to the ICU, under the care of Award Winning, Board Certified Anesthesiologist & Addiction Specialist, Dr. Julia Aharonov. The patient receives IV Sedation and sleeps through withdrawals while closely monitored by the nursing staff. After the opiate reversal, the patient receives an FDA Approved Vivitrol® injection. Day 3- The patient comes back to their private room with 24-hour medical staff, and rests and recuperates for the day. If they experience any post-acute withdrawals, they are given non-addictive medications and receives those medications to take home. The next morning, after meeting with Dr. Aharonov, they are free to go home. Once your detox is complete, you are eligible for our detox-related aftercare. Financing is available.

In our inpatient program, we offer round-the-clock care to help those who are battling mental health concerns and substance use disorders stabilize. Patients receive personal attention and 24/7 monitoring in a safe, secure therapeutic environment. Services may include medical care, medication management services, detox services, medication-assisted treatment, and individual, family, group, and experiential therapies. At the end of treatment, we provide patients with detailed aftercare plans that can help them continue making progress toward their goals.
