As a premier non-profit behavioral health system, our residential program for boys and girls, ages 6-17, treats a wide range of mental health disorders. We also offer a dual diagnosis program for co-occurring mental health illness and substance abuse. We are TRICARE-approved, with expertise and focused concentration is helping children from military families throughout the U.S. and overseas. Our 32-acre open college-like campus on the border of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Virginia. In addition, The Barry Robinson offers an Intensive Outpatient program (IOP) for adolescents and young adults (18-24) with diagnoses including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD and who use drugs or alcohol. This service is currently offered at our Norfolk location as well as through Telehealth communications. Intensive Outpatient program is not specific to only military families.

Jackson-Feild Behavioral Health Services provides evidence-based intensive therapeutic treatment services for adolescents ages 11 to 17 who have experienced trauma, mental illness and other related issues during their young lives. Our multimodal, uniquely designed trauma focused cognitive behavioral treatment and additional evidence based trauma therapies are especially effective in helping children who have mental illness, personality disorders, emotional intensity disorders and behavioral issues and are victims of physical and/or sexual abuse, neglect and have poor familial relationships. Jackson-Feild is licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and the Virginia Department of Education. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation.

Our Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) residential treatment center in L.A. is perfect for teens and children ages 12-17 who struggle with mental or behavioral health, substance use, and dual diagnosis. Dialectical Behavior Therapy has a high success rate with substance use, depression, anxiety, high emotional sensitivity, self-harm, and/or suicidal behaviors. Our program incorporates all four requirements of a formal Comprehensive-DBT program: individual/family therapy, 24/7 in-the-moment skills coaching, skills training groups, and weekly staff consultation team. For out-of-state families, we conduct family therapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant video conference. In our skills-training groups, teens learn the four core skill-sets of DBT: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, & Distress Tolerance. Adolescents benefit from psychiatric supervision, academic support, and experiential therapies: equine, surf, drama, music, art, yoga and more. While our primary modality is DBT, we also incorporate CBT, 12-Step, Relapse Prevention, PTSD treatment, and other evidence-based modalities depending on your teen or child’s clinical needs.

Sandstone Care provides substance use, addiction, and mental health treatment for adolescents (ages 13 to 18) including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and General Outpatient (OP) programming.
