We treat mental health concerns like anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. In addition, we provide care for adults who are suffering from co-occurring addictions to substances like alcohol, benzodiazepines, heroin, and prescription painkillers. In our inpatient program, our goal is to help patients who are experiencing mental health crises stabilize so that they can return home or step down to a lower level of care. Patients in our adult inpatient program stay with us on average for five to seven days, though the exact length of stay depends on their progress and needs. At Southcoast Behavioral Health, we offer a detoxification program that can help patients safely rid their bodies of toxic substances. Our goal is to support each of our patients so that they can go through the withdrawal process as comfortably as possible. Detox services at Southcoast are available for adults age 18 and older who are suffering from substance use disorders and are ready to take the first steps toward recovery. Patients participate in our detox program for an average of five to seven days, receiving assistance from our care team, which includes physicians, registered nurses, and psychiatrists.
