Palmetto's purpose is to provide treatment that is both effective and cost-efficient and to provide treatment to people from all walks of life. Our Intensive Outpatient Program includes assessment, individualized treatment plans, group therapy, treatment following the 12-step model, education on the disease concept of addiction, family therapy, peer support, and relapse prevention. Avenues Recovery Center at Metairie is an inpatient residential facility which offers drug and alcohol rehabilitation services as well as withdrawal management. Its unique setup – one treatment facility surrounded by 10 beautiful, converted townhomes – enables clients to engage in full-time inpatient treatment while separately residing in a warm domestic setting, removing barriers and diminishing any institutionalized feeling. Staffed by skilled, passionate professionals, clients receive round – the – clock care in the most dignified and compassionate manner. Each staff member is 100% invested in the success of each client and contributes to the wonderful, pervasive homelike atmosphere – which consistently fosters openness and healing. Avenues’ mission is to enable individuals with addictions to redefine their lives as they journey through recovery with a dedicated team, individualized tools, and a supportive community.

The Ness Center at Northlake is where healing begins. We are able to provide outpatient opiate and/or alcohol detox for clients that are appropriate for the outpatient setting, should detox be required. We are also a MAT (medication assisted therapy) provider and can prescribe Suboxone and Vivitrol as well as other medications at the discretion of our medical director. We can fill prescriptions onsite and right away. We provide group and individual counseling along with Continuing Care for up to six months. Our program is based on total sobriety and we encourage our clients to attend 12 step groups as well, but it is not required. The IOP requires a commitment of 4 days a week for three hours a day. We offer day group from 10-1 and evening group from 6-9.

Our clinical staff consists of 7 Master's-level clinicians and 3 Addiction Psychiatrists, Dr. José Calderón-Abbo, Dr. Andrew Williams and Dr. Lee Michals. PHP is M-F 9am-1pm. IOP is M, W, Th 10am-1pm or 4-7pm. Each client receives one individual therapy session weekly. Groups include Psychoeducation, Process, mental health Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills, Mind-Body Medicine Skills, Psychodrama, Narrative Therapy, Self-Compassion, Life Skills, Creativity and Gentle Path through the 12 Steps. Imagine's 12-week Mental Health DBT Skills Outpatient Program (OP) includes one 3-hour therapeutic group Wednesdays 1:30-4:30pm one individual therapy session weekly. OP have access to DBT phone coaching with Imagine clinicians, available via calls and texts 12 hours per day, 7 days per week. All programs' groups are led by licensed clinicians, group size caps at 10. We offer family and couples therapy, free Family Education/Support, Alumni and Aftercare Groups weekly.
