Many of our residents have experienced trauma, neglect, and abuse and may struggle with emotional and educational challenges. Our PRTF is ideal for young people who have a history of acute inpatient hospitalizations and require more support than what is offered in traditional outpatient programs. A typical day at our PRTF involves a variety of programming and on-site schooling. Residents can engage in individual therapy once a week, family therapy at least every two weeks, and group therapy sessions every day. Qualified therapists lead these sessions, and the treatment methods they utilize may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
