K& I Healthcare Services was founded in 2019 as the brainchild of Ike Obiora and Kelvinda Kamara, psychiatric nurse practitioners who recognized that the mental health care system was broken during their work in Baltimore, Maryland. As their frustration grew with the prevalence of untreated mental illness among traditionally underserved populations, they decided to start a mental health organization that viewed the underlying social, emotional, and medical determinants of patient behavior as major drivers of the treatment planning and service delivery processes

National Pike Health Center was founded in 2001 as a clinic dedicated to offering behavioral health counseling to the children, adolescents, adults, and families served. Decades later with 3 locations, we are more committed than ever to providing these clients with quality, service, and a sense of community. NPHC is community-based Outpatient Mental Health Center with offices in Catonsville, Westminister, and Dundalk. We provide mental health therapy and a psychiatric rehabilitation program (PRP) for all ages and groups. A multidisciplinary team of outstanding mental health therapists, psychiatrists, rehabilitation coordinators, and administrative staff join us on this mission. From inception to through treatment, there is an ongoing planning and review of each case until the client is discharged. Our preventative and therapeutic outpatient mental health services provide treatment and psychiatric rehabilitation based on continually monitored and individualized treatment and/or rehabilitation goals.

We help adolescents, adults, couples and families, and provide supervision for other psychotherapists in the MD/DC area. We have experience in treating a diverse population with an understanding of the specific treatment issues of all populations. We believe that the client should see results of treatment within a reasonable amount of time and that we, as well as the client, are accountable for treatment outcome. We help our client(s) to alleviate the problems and stress that brought them to therapy as quickly and efficiently as possible with as little financial burden as possible. A Village Wellness Center, accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed in Maryland, offers transformative mental wellness support for minors (12+) and adults. Specializing in managing psychotic, mood, depressive, and anxiety disorders, we provide a nurturing environment through our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Our skilled staff delivers personalized, holistic care, complementing therapy or aiding post-crisis recovery. Our programs focus on enhancing functionality, empowering clients to thrive emotionally and in their living situations. We utilize evidence-based modalities for symptom management and conduct workshops to develop coping strategies and life skills. With up to six monthly direct care visits for adults and three for minors, we facilitate smoother community integration, aiming for practical living and emotional well-being. Please note that for PRP we require referrals from a Clinician. IOP will take private insurance and medicaid.
