GCL Psychological Services, LLC is a private mental health practice providing distance counseling for clients throughout Virginia. Our practice values diversity and works with you using strength based approaches to improve your life and achieve your goals for personal growth. We are here to provide therapeutic services for adults, couples, and families dealing with issues related to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life changes, and stressors. Additionally, we conduct psychological assessments in anxiety, emotional intelligence, personality, critical thinking, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other areas. At GCL Psychological Services, our clinicians provide an integrated counseling approach to best meet clients needs. Theories used are PCT, CBT, TF-CBT, and SFBT. We offer individual, couples, and family counseling sessions. Individual Counseling- Life is full of stressors and challenges, however you are not alone. Individual counseling allows you the opportunity to better understand your feelings and current picture of your life. It empowers you to gain insights to manage successfully in your life. Couples Counseling- Relationships are not always easy. Individuals come into relationships with years of learning from their families, experiences, and their own values and beliefs. It is important to learn to respect and honor each other and learn to collaborate. Couples therapy helps to improve communication, better understand each other’s point of view, and work better together for a healthier relationship. Family Counseling- There are times when a family needs support to develop and understand boundaries and rules. When the family is not functioning well, family therapy helps to redefine the family’s needs/structure to help everyone engage together with respect and purpose. We Are Here To Help
At GCL Psychological Services, we provide confidential distance counseling to clients throughout Virginia. Life comes with difficult situations that lead us to get tangled in complicated emotions and struggle to progress towards our goals. We understand how difficult it can be to talk to others about personal issues, it is important to feel understood and valued. We consider it an honor to provide you with a safe space where you can truly be yourself without fear of judgment. Our therapists specialize in working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions and stressors, and couples experiencing relationship challenges. The first step to getting help is up to- we are only a call/email away. You are able to attend sessions with the utmost confidential setting of your choosing, from the privacy of your own home/office or any other private space.
