Treatment in our adult residential program typically lasts a minimum of 30 days, but a client's unique needs and circumstances determine their actual length of stay. Clients in residential treatment receive personalized care to aid in their healing journeys. Treatment is delivered by an expert team that is comprised of counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, registered dietitians, medical doctors, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, equine therapists, and certified trauma therapists. We strive to treat clients with empathy and respect while encouraging them to pursue happier, healthier lives.

At Better Beginnings our providers serve adult mental health and we specialize in mental and emotional health surrounding the time of pregnancy and after delivery (this includes infertility, surrogacy, donor mental health, perinatal loss and post-adoption). Milestones provides residential as well as day treatment programs for individuals suffering with Compulsive Overeating, Bulimia, Anorexia, and related disorders. We are a therapeutic community whose mission is to offer a supportive environment from which to begin a new way of life... a life way we refer to as "recovery." Milestones follows a "blended" approach to treatment - addressing both the "addictive" and emotional aspects of an eating disorder. Residents attend a full schedule of group and individual activities during the day as well as participate in various support groups during evenings and weekends. Grocery shopping, meal preparation, and "real world" experiences are an integral part of the program. Unlike a traditional hospital environment, Milestones affords an opportunity to recover in a less restrictive setting while still receiving the support and structure necessary to overcome an eating disorder. Residential Treatment accepts both local and out of area residents, with most of the program's participants coming to us from throughout the United States Located in South Florida, Milestones is near two major airports in the South Florida area.

The Refuge, A Healing Place in Ocklawaha, Florida, provides a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults age 18 and older who have mental health disorders, eating disorders, and substance use concerns. Our PHP takes place on the same campus as our detoxification and residential treatment programs. However, this treatment program is a stand-alone option, and clients reside in separate housing from those in the residential programs. Clients in our PHP take part in six hours of therapeutic programming seven days a week, for up to 30 days. Many people enter our PHP after completing one of our residential treatment programs, but some enter this level of care directly. During the day, clients participate in therapies to learn more about mental health and addictions, develop valuable coping skills, and set goals for the future. Clients can also enjoy a variety of activities, including yoga, sculpting, ropes courses, and canoeing. Our PHP promotes continued healing and prepares clients for life beyond treatment.

Sometimes, people turn to drugs or alcohol as a way to cope with stress, the effects of trauma, or difficult life circumstances. Unfortunately, this can lead to addictions and increased tolerance as people require more of the substance to achieve the same outcomes. When someone suddenly stops using a substance, they may experience a range of uncomfortable, painful, or dangerous effects. It's crucial for individuals in this situation to seek support from qualified medical professionals who can help them manage their withdrawal symptoms safely. Clients typically participate in our detox program for three to seven days before transitioning to our residential treatment program. However, a client’s individual progress, needs, and goals determine their actual length of stay.

The Refuge, A Healing Place is pleased to offer an eating disorder program for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and orthorexia. This stand-alone treatment program in Ocklawaha, Florida, is designed to help clients address the underlying concerns that are affecting their health, well-being, and ability to pursue recovery. At The Refuge, we provide care for a diverse range of clients, including individuals who may not be accepted into other eating disorder programs due to their complex needs. We are proud to serve members of the LGBTQ+ community, pregnant clients, individuals who need detox, people who have special dietary requirements, and those who have co-occurring mental health concerns. Wellness Resource Center in Boca Raton, Florida, is a leading provider of outpatient addiction treatment services for adults age 18 and older. Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) are designed for people who are struggling with addictions to alcohol, opioids, stimulants, prescription drugs, and other substances. Most people who receive treatment enter our PHP first. Here, clients live in apartment-style housing on-site and participate in intensive therapies for up to six hours a day, seven days a week. This treatment program lasts a minimum of 28 days, but each person's length of stay depends on their individual needs. Clients can then transition to our IOP. At this level of care, clients continue to live on-site and participate in nine hours of therapy a week for four to six weeks. In our IOP, clients can search for employment while receiving ongoing therapy and comprehensive support.
