About the Eating Disorder Center of Montana
The Eating Disorder Center of Montana specializes in treating all kinds of eating disorders for all genders. With a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, we take an evidence-based and holistic approach to care, seeking to treat not just eating disorder behaviors, but also the root cause. We guide our patients to address their stressors, moving beyond disordered coping to free them to live wholeheartedly. Program services include a combination of individual, family, and group psychotherapy, nutrition counseling and rehabilitation, psycho-education, supervised meal encounters, yoga, music therapy, art therapy, outdoor time, and more, all in a welcoming and cozy setting. At EDCMT, we provide intake appointments to all patients, which include an hour with a registered dietitian and 90 minutes with a psychotherapist. After the initial intake appointments, we recommend a specific level of care based on the unique needs of each person. Is our program right for you?
We offer partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs between our two locations. Our Missoula location offers intensive outpatient and outpatient programs for all genders, ages 16 and up. Intensive Outpatient Program: For those who need focused support or are in school or hold a full-time job. 3-5 hours per day, 3 days per week including individual therapy, nutrition counseling, meal support and group therapy. Outpatient Program: For those who have stepped down from a higher level of care or for those needing focused support to aid in eating problems and other mental health issues. 1-4 hours per week, 1-2 days per week including individual therapy, nutrition counseling, family therapy, and family-based treatment. Our partial hospitalization program is the highest level of eating disorder care available in Montana, and is located in Bozeman, with a housing facility for adult patients from outside of the Bozeman area.
