Muir Wood Adolescent and Family Services treats teen boys and girls ages 12 – 17 experiencing substance use and mental health conditions. Our campuses are beautiful, home-like settings in Sonoma County, Clovis and Riverside, California, where clients enjoy camaraderie, benefit from intensive integrated therapy, and enjoy recreation and experiential therapy activities. Boys and girls are treated and housed separately to eliminate drama and distraction. This program provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for teens experiencing a range of behavioral healthcare issues, including substance use disorders, anxiety, OCD, depression, mood disorders, and suicidality. Programming is trauma-informed to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where teens can feel open and comfortable engaging in treatment and focusing on their care without distractions. Veritas Counseling is an outpatient alcohol and drug treatment program. It is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), meeting several days a week. The purpose of our program is to help people "get well and stay well". We are especially interested in encouraging our clients to long-term recovery a day at a time. Our clients have a Primary Counselor with whom they meet regularly and a recovery group providing fellowship, support and insight. There is a Family Program, an Aftercare Program, an extensive education track and plenty of insight -oriented supportive group and individual counseling. The primary themes of our recovery program are encouragement, truthfulness and kindness.

We are an outpatient treatment program offering specialized care for individuals struggling with disordered eating. We are effective in treating the behaviors as well as the underlying issues that fuel them. Service offerings include individual therapy, group therapy, nutrition therapy, and workshops.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) was initially developed by Marsha Linehan in the early 1990’s to help clients that were suicidal or intentionally self-injuring. However, it has been shown to be effective with other impulse control disorders including substance abuse. This is a strength based, skills building program. We teach 4 sets of skills in a 25 week model, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. We have a program for teens and adults in three locations, Auburn, Davis and Folsom.

Havenwood Academy, a long-term residential treatment center in Southern Utah, specializes in treating young women who are struggling with complex trauma and attachment related issues. We work with (assigned female at birth) children from age 12 to 18 and often work with adoptive families.

We are a non-profit community mental health organization providing professional counseling and psychotherapy to adults, youth, children, couples, families, and groups from all walks of life.
