Montecatini Eating Disorder Treatment Center in Carlsbad, California, serves adolescent girls and women ages 16-65 who are struggling with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions. At Montecatini, we recognize the important role of family in many of our clients’ eating disorder recovery journeys. We also understand that family members may need their own access to community and connection as they work through the challenges of supporting someone who has an eating disorder. As part of our programming at Montecatini, we provide specialized family support services for people who may need them. These services include our family and friends weekend, which we offer every six weeks. This intensive program is three days long and includes educational presentations and process groups for family and friends who have a loved one at our treatment center. We also provide a monthly family and friends support group, a free program for anyone who has a loved one who is struggling with an eating disorder.

At DBT Center of Orange County we are dedicated to providing our patients with comprehensive DBT and other evidenced-based therapies in a warm, nonjudgmental and collaborative environment. We offer individual therapy for individuals six (6) and older (DBT-C), as well as skills training groups for individuals thirteen (13) and older. DBT is the most thoroughly researched treatment for people with self-harm and suicidal behaviors. DBT offers consistent significant findings in reducing the frequency of self-harm behaviors, as well as reducing in patient admission episodes and improving global functioning and adjustment. Our team of health care providers includes intensively trained DBT clinicians, Psychologists and Trauma Therapists. We do not treat addiction, we do not accept addicts into the program. Your child will not be exposed to the influence of drug addicts during group therapy at OC Teen Center and California Teen Center. We have flexible schedules. In addition to offering PHP and IOP we offer a program with 3 days per week instead of 5. Insurance covers up to 100 percent of the treatment and therapeutic modalities that Newport Academy offers. We accept all major insurance providers and work collaboratively with payers to optimize coverage for families. Many adolescents who receive treatment from Newport Academy using insurance coverage do so through a Single Case Agreement, a special contract through which out-of-network providers can work with a family’s insurance company on an In-Network basis. Newport Academy maintains a full-time, in-house team dedicated to supporting families through the mental health insurance coverage and financing process. In order to secure sufficient insurance coverage, we will most likely need to conduct a series of clinical reviews and any requested doctor-to-doctor calls with the insurance company. While other facilities may charge for this service, we feel it is our responsibility to assist families with what can be a complex process. Our goal is to ensure that families receive the maximum coverage, so they can access the highest-quality treatment.
