Adults can benefit from residential care when they need 24-hour support with a highly structured therapy schedule. Those who are currently using drugs or alcohol might begin their treatment with detoxification. We offer medically assisted detox to help people rid their bodies of addictive substances and achieve stabilization. Once someone begins residential treatment, they receive therapy several times each week along with medication management. The typical length of stay at this level of care is about 30-90 days, however, this time will vary based on individual concerns.

Our campuses are beautiful, home-like settings in Sonoma County, Clovis and Riverside, California, where clients enjoy camaraderie, benefit from intensive integrated therapy, and enjoy recreation and experiential therapy activities. Boys and girls are treated and housed separately to eliminate drama and distraction. This program provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for teens experiencing a range of behavioral healthcare issues, including substance use disorders, anxiety, OCD, depression, mood disorders, and suicidality. Programming is trauma-informed to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where teens can feel open and comfortable engaging in treatment and focusing on their care without distractions. Zinnia Sacramento is a Joint Commission Accredited dual diagnosis drug and alcohol addiction treatment center for adults. We provide a continuum of care which includes sub-acute detoxification, residential, day treatment and intensive outpatient treatment with optional gender specific monitored housing. Our program places strong emphasis on the neurobiological, psychological, social, physical and spiritual components of recovery. A very unique aspect of our program is that we have a strong clinical focus on trauma therapy to address PTSD and other related issues led by licensed experienced trauma professionals. Our multidisciplinary team strives to thoroughly understand the individual needs of each client as well as each person's approach to health and wellness.

Located in Sebastopol, California, Azure Acres Recovery Center offers comprehensive outpatient services that include a partial hospitalization program (PHP). Our PHP is available for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with substance use disorders. This level of care may be especially beneficial for people who do not require 24/7 monitoring but need structured treatment to achieve their wellness goals. Clients may enter the program directly or by stepping down from a higher level of care. The PHP meets Monday-Saturday for six hours each day. While the typical length of participation is 14-30 days, the actual program duration is determined on an individual basis. Interventions and techniques utilized at this level of care may include dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, recovery support groups, psychoeducational groups, art therapy, yoga, and recreational activities. In the PHP, clients have the opportunity to establish a solid support network and learn practical coping skills that they can implement in everyday situations.

Insurance covers up to 100 percent of the treatment and therapeutic modalities that Newport Institute offers. We accept all major insurance providers and work collaboratively with payers to optimize coverage for families. Many young adults who receive treatment from Newport Institute using insurance coverage do so through a Single Case Agreement, a special contract through which out-of-network providers can work with a family’s insurance company on an In-Network basis. Newport Institute maintains a full-time, in-house team dedicated to supporting families through the mental health insurance coverage and financing process. In order to secure sufficient insurance coverage, we will most likely need to conduct a series of clinical reviews and any requested doctor-to-doctor calls with the insurance company. While other facilities may charge for this service, we feel it is our responsibility to assist families with what can be a complex process. Our goal is to ensure that families receive the maximum coverage, so they can access the highest-quality treatment.
