Located in Rose Garden, San Jose, Evolve’s partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs treat teens and children ages 12-17 with mental health, substance use, dual diagnosis, and/or behavioral issues. Our licensed, specialized staff utilize evidence-based treatments such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), daily group sessions and psychoeducation, individual and family therapy, multifamily groups, and psychiatry. We also integrate therapeutic modalities for addiction recovery, such as Relapse Prevention, DBT for Substance Abuse, 12-Step programs, and SMART Recovery. Many of our adolescents struggle with emotion dysregulation. They may display high-risk, self-harming or suicidal behaviors. DBT is research-proven to help reduce these issues. Through DBT, we teach our clients the skills needed for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, improved impulse control, and effective communication. Teens and children also receive daily academic support and participate in experiential therapies such as music, art, mindfulness, yoga, and psychodrama.

Mount Carmel Behavioral Health is a premier provider of outpatient services for adults age 18 and older. In our intensive outpatient program (IOP), we help individuals who are living with moderate symptoms of behavioral health concerns learn the skills they need to achieve a better quality of life. We treat a variety of mental health disorders as well as co-occurring substance use disorders. Patients may begin treatment at the IOP level or step down to the program from a higher level of care, such as inpatient or residential programming. The IOP can be an ideal option for those who do not require round-the-clock care but may benefit from structured, professional mental healthcare services. Patients in the IOP attend programming three days a week for three hours each day. The flexible schedule of an IOP can make it a desirable option for people who need to continue fulfilling their daily commitments while also receiving treatment. Patients can participate in our IOP for up to 10 weeks, during which time they can learn to manage disruptive symptoms in a productive manner and make strides toward lasting healing.

At Mount Carmel Behavioral Health, continuity of care is important to us. For this reason, we provide comprehensive programs and individualized discharge planning. You may require additional support as you transition back to your daily routine, and we will strive to ensure that you have the resources you need to navigate life after treatment confidently. Each person who completes programming at our treatment center receives an aftercare plan that can help them make progress toward their long-term goals. Discharge planning begins at the start of treatment and involves input from the patient, their referral source, and members of their support system as well as their clinical services team and psychiatrist. Recommendations for follow-up services depend on the individual needs of the patient and may include outpatient medication management or therapy, local support groups, case management, or a lower level of care.

The Hull Institute has specialized in the treatment of eating disorders for over 20 years. We are a private outpatient practice working with individuals of all ages (8-80) and backgrounds with disordered eating or an eating disorder. We have 12 therapists and 5 dietitians, all specially trained in helping people recover from an eating disorder. People who come to us often also have anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, trauma and/or addictions. We will treat all of them together.
