Hi! I'm Kara, and my practice is Ziva Wellness. I see clients from all different types of backgrounds and provide many types of care depending on the needs of the client. I specialize in sex counseling, to help individuals and also those in relationships hoping to become more confident, connected, educated and fulfilled. I put emphasis on the biopsychosocial model of care, and treat all of those parts as one, focusing on education, support and practical solutions. In addition, I help women facing medical issues, and provide support and education for pregnancy/postpartum or perimenopause transitions.
Midwife means “with woman” and I have taken that to heart throughout over a decade of catching babies and taking care of women from their first period to beyond menopause. I can diagnose and treat medical and psychological conditions and prescribe medications, as well as provide individualized counseling and support for the most vulnerable situations.
Ziva Wellness was started to fill the gaps in women’s healthcare. Our insurance-based healthcare system is not set up to support disease prevention, the mind/body connection, mental health, education or overall wellness. That’s where Ziva comes in—to help fill in the gaps between what traditional healthcare provides and what people need. I'd love to chat!
