I specialize in working with children, and have extensive training in the areas of trauma, integrative therapies, cultural diversity, family systems, and learning challenges faced by students that impact performance and behavior. I offer in-person and virtual child and adolescent therapy, using play and creative techniques so my patients can grow to be their most resilient, adjusted, and healthy selves. I work with children of divorce, and children who are struggling in school either academically or socially. I assist parents develop the tools to best help their children thrive.
I use tools such as mindfulness, play therapy, sand tray, art and expressive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, behavior modification, and solution-focused therapy to offer the best possible services for my clients. My style is warm and compassionate, fun and non-judgmental. I look for the strengths in everyone I serve.
All children struggle at some point, and it can be hard to determine if your child needs help, and who you can trust to offer that help most effectively. I am happy to consult, and answer questions and always work in partnership with parents to help their children and teens grow and develop emotional intelligence and strong coping skills.
